He could not be alpha if no one wanted to follow him anymore. Burke still stood protectively for the den, because he was not going to let anyone close to the den. He was still blocking the entrance. He was not planning to anyhow. By the looks of it they already made plans, and Burke was not in power anymore to stop them. He wanted to send them away. The older male held his ground, yet on the inside he was broken. He was disgusted by all their faces. One and a half year of his life, gone, wasted on the wolves that were now standing before him.
