Steady assured Ezekiel that he could come to him whenever, and Zeke nodded. While he knew that it was a pleasantry, he also knew that Steady was serious. Gabe didn't count as a brother but more as a brother of war, the Manchester wolves were a much different kind of family.

Zeke yawned, remembering how tired he'd been earlier. The remains of that weariness were returning, taking over his muscles like a virus.
