Burke was awake this time, while Malice was sleeping. Mostly because sometimes the young would be crawling all over the place, and he was not completely heartless. He was bitter about the things that happened, mostly angry at himself. Still he was still the father of the two. Though one in particular, one that looked like Kendra, was far weaker. The other brown colored seemed stronger. He wondered if the black one was even going to make it. Maybe that was why he didn't want to be too attached by them. Still he couldn't help it to lay his muzzle close to the two. So small and in need of supervision. A their father he did feel a bit protective even though he was trying not to get attached to the black colored one at least. Burke did have to admit he felt more rested than he ever had.
