The pale waif wasn't sure where to go from that. There wasn't anything she could really say in response, nothing that had actual meaning. Niita wasn't about to try and play with him like they usually did, not with an injury and Steady grieving.
Niita had never been good with words, couldn't talk herself out of situations or rally crowds with a speech. But, she was good at listening. Niita had been raised by physical people, ones who comforted each other with touch. Maybe that was all she knew, and maybe it was enough.
Niita limped over to him, resting her head against his shoulder in a hug. "It'll be okay." She murmured to him, hoping that it was true.
