The white female was stopped dead at a treeline. She slowly lifted her muzzle to the breeze. The scent of other wolves had filled her nostrils. Wolves she did not recognize. But how could she? She had never been here before. She had never been anywhere besides the Black Hills where she had been born. All of this was new to the young female, but she did remember how other wolves made the presence known in her pack's territory. Her ears flicked back against her cranium and she lifted her snout upwards toward the darkening sky. A long, sorrowful song belted from her wind pipes and echoes through the trees, letting the wolves of this territory know that she was at their boarders and she tried to convey her lack of wanting to fight. She sat down on her haunches and waited. She felt the breeze ripple through her downy white coat and let out a gentle sigh. She had been traveling for so long on her own that she had almost forgotten what other wolves looked like, let alone their scent. Patiently, and maybe a bit nervously too, she awaited some kind of reply.
I left. You all are a little too rude to new comers for me to even want to try and fit in here.
