The slender man’s face came to life at the mention of her perilous mission and he watched her with a strange sort of intensity. Part of him wondered what it was that could have drawn her there, or what had chased her from what she had done before. There was always a reason for arriving in a new land and anticipating to settle there – though she hadn’t quite mentioned that. The idea that her purpose there was to do something considered dangerous was enough to spark the man’s interest. Though he was reserved about it, the coywolf could feel his imagination race with the prospect of her reasons.
 
They came to a quick halt when she explained that she was searching for her leader, and for information. His eyes widened a bit, still locked on her features, and he breathed out softly. “And?” he prodded with a curling smile. “What luck have you had?”
