What a pleasant surprise!

Menta tilted her head towards the noise that she heard -- an approaching wolf, and her muscles tensed up in anticipation from her seated position. But it was only Banner, the oncoming wind informed her just before the darker wolf's shape became visible. If she had to be interrupted by anyone, this was an excellent choice.

And so she struggled to keep herself seated, the burst of energy from suspicion turning into one of excitement, as Banner approached and took a seat beside her. Menta could not and did not bother to stifle her joy in her wagging tail as it thumped on the hard ground. Her friend smelled different now, full of wolves who had claimed her as their own, but Menta suspected she smelled the same way.

The name's Menta, she teased back with a grin as she lifted her maw back up towards the sky. The night's darkness was quickening, and many more twinkling dots had made themselves apparent than when she first sat.
