The wraith pad through her home, silent as a shadow, slipping through the woodlands like water. Her gait was one of confidence; for this was her home, and she would strike down any that opposed that. Since entering Teekon, she had managed to place quite a few fights under her belt and bore quite a few new scars to prove it. Most she recalled smugly, for she had been the winner, but one fight truly stuck out in her mind. That evening when her pelt still bore the scent of the dark wood, and she had chanced upon the woman garbed in midnight. A dance of tooth and claw, how she wished to once again pursue such a fight. But it would be rare should she chance upon another of that nature, and so she set her mind to other things.
A single scent, sudden among the undergrowth, gave the wolf pause. Stag. Unlike the doe, they proved quite the challenge, seeing as they had giant branches fixed upon their head. The antlers would prove tricky, but she had a pack behind her, did she not? Her steel eyes gleamed with a hunger, primeval and ancient, and she set on the trail of what might prove to be the second good meal she had had in weeks.
She found it, the wolf, after an hour spent tracking it. Downy antlers protruded from it's narrow skull, small but still formidable. She watched it from a distance, a phantom, as the juvenile stag nudged at the new greenery, delicate body weaving between obstacles as it tore loose vegetation and gnawed it thoughtfully. A smile pulled at the femme's maw, for it was young and alone. It may have been scrawny, small, young, but it would prove sufficient to feed the pack should they catch it.
And so she let out a call, a hunting call, haunting and melodious in nature. She called for her pack, her kin, the hunters of the wild. Her call pierced the still air, a bad omen for the young stag, which paused it's foraging and glanced up at seemingly nothing. The femme ended her wild call and waited, hidden, but tensed should the stag choose to bolt.
