Pearl got to all of her feet better this time, doing a roll move that looked somewhat graceful to get off of her back. When she realized that he didn't know what he was doing either, it was both a relief and a more awkward situation. They may as well get comfortable with each other if pups were in their future. 

"Yeah, um...me neither. I mean, I know your thing," she said as she gestured to his under side with her nose, "goes in somewhere back here," raising her own tail and shaking her rear end. "It's just a matter of doing that," she said, looking at him with a 'well now you have to do something' expression. Pearl wondered why they weren't mated before her heat. That would have made things a lot simpler, leaving most of it to instinct and nature. Now they were left on their own and clueless.
