Ezekiel flicked his ear as Reiko laughed at Anita's comment. It wasn't that funny. Luckily all the attention was soon placed back on Polaris, who was bombarded by questions only moments later. He wasn't sure how this Polaris would respond to so many people. If Zeke had been intercepted by practically the whole pack, and attacked with questions, he probably would've never learned how to socialize. He would've just backed up slowly and walked away. Good for the newbie, Anita didn't have much to say for once.

Everyone always expected wolves to be from mountains or forests, but it seemed some were born in valleys. Zeke himself had been born on a rocky crag, overlooking a huge evergreen forest. Most of the time he spent on Winter's Bluff had been up on the bluff itself and not down in the woods. That or on missions or border patrols.
