Firestone Hot Springs i might like to know you

While it was becoming rare to see Scamp away from Damien, it was even more amazing that he had taken leave from the dark and winding forest of Blackfeather. Yet he had, traveling forwards in a direction he'd never gone before. He'd come from the West, and now he headed North. 
It was later in the day that a putrid smell snuck up his nose. Shaking his head and snorting a few times as if to push it out, Scamp didn't bother to slow. There was another scent on the wind, that of another male, and though the fire-eared male was unable to communicate verbally as of yet he was curious.
A dark man came into view, and Scamp trotted forward with his rusty tail wagging and a goofy smile on his copper face.  He loosed a friendly chuff, but no other noises come from him.
