The conversation fell off, and for a moment Brandy thought the white woman would take her leave. The next words from her mouth, however, brought a giggle through her throat to tumble from her lips. A pack plant, huh? It reminded her of the bush she and the woman knight had planted outside the Cove, since stripped bare by the locusts. 
         "What kind of plant, do you know?"
That there was any regrowth, Brandy was thrilled. Perhaps it was a healing plant, one that would aid her packmates one day. On the other hand, however, it could just be some useless thing: but it was still something growing, proof that they would survive.
