Phiipa could tell that something she'd said had hurt his feelings. He wasn't lost, but he had no parents around. She didn't want to leave him alone, but didn't want to patronize him. She followed him, deciding that since he clearly didn't want to be talked to like a kid, she would try a different approach. She got close enough, walking alongside him.
Well are you going somewhere important? Could I come with you?She asked, he either was convincing at looking determined or he really had somewhere to go. She stayed close to him, but didn't look down at him. She hoped he would say yes, the boy was interesting and she wanted to help him whether he wanted her help or not. Or at least she had to know more.
