The man stands and listens, his ears giving a single flick as Keirkegaard mentions that he will not be rid of so easily. He doesn't understand what it means, and questions it, but only assumes that this means he will return with evil intent. When the ghost leaves, he lets out another howl, a sign that he wants the other stranger gone, and that the forest is his once more.
