Ahead of her, something dark and vaguely wolf-shaped materialized from the fog. In the absence of more information, Bazi prepared herself for the worst, and it wasn't until Cutthroat's familiar, lilting voice reached her ears that the Beta wolf shielded her teeth again. The dark pirate was technically a captive, but it was impossible to dislike him for it. It helped that he wasn't entirely unpleasant to look at.
"Well, you cut an unpleasant silhouette in this fog," Bazi retorted, shoulders twitching like a horse beset by flies - she was still visibly on edge, and didn't acknowledge his submission as she normally would have. "Was that you, making that noise earlier?" Cutthroat's approach had been silent - soft paw-pads against softer grass, nothing like the graceless thumping she had heard.
