The Sentinels tell me we'll be okay

"You are my valiant knight," Osprey told Charon, lightly bumping her hip against his. And then moved forward to nuzzle Terance's forehead. Soon there would come time, when her son would think that this kind of affection was not "manly enough" to receive. 

"Charon - Terance," she introduced. "Terance - this is Charon an old friend of mine," she told him. "And you remember the hunting game you were taught the other day, don't you? Be good kids and catch that frog," she beckoned to the small amphibian that her friend had set down and then stepped aside, giving the kids freedom to play, while adults would have a little time for a chat.
