Hushed Willows oh, it's definitely the end times

it comes and goes for me at times tbh, i spent something like two years not even writing before houkie talked me back into this lmao

Before he came to that final decision, a bark drew away his attention and to the boughs of a nearby willow. It took too long for his gaze to settle on the receding figure to discover who it was, but the movement was enough to draw him in. It wasn't until he was closer that he noticed the smattering of dark fur against the light tree base and more importantly, it was not someone he recognized. Still, if it had been their intent to offer him a bit of shelter, he would take it for now. He was beyond drenched.

He slipped beneath the long tendrils of the willow wordlessly, only giving his coat a good shake out once he had oriented himself better and preferably not to add to the dampness his counterpart shared. The tree didn't really protect them from the rain, but at least the worst of it was someway blocked by the tall standing trunk. And if anything, the storm would eventually pass as well. They all had so far, though the onslaught of them recently had left him wondering if his imaginary black cloud hadn't turned into a literal one.
