He had decided that today was the day. He would tell Adeline. He sighed as he made his way to the den. He thought about bringing her some food, but considering the conversation they were about to have, he didn't think eating during it would be appropriate. 

He reached the den, chuffing to let his niece know he was here. Adeline, can you come out, please? he said, laying down on his stomach to wait until she came out.
