The sound of snarls brought a thrilling chill down Damien's spine. The voices unrecognizable, but sure coming from two members of the pack. There had been a period of peace since Damien had taken control and he felt it was his duty to be present in events of violence.

So his paws took him fast, sprinting between trees hoping to get to the scene in time. It took him a moment to locate the source of the growling, but once the smell of blood reached him he knew where to go. There he found to shapes, one gaunt like only his brother's, and the younger, pale form of Alexander, and he was turning to leave. Damien ran past his brother, seeing it was obvious he had just beaten his weakly Speaker, and raced to catch up with him, growling and barking and making it obvious that he would take the boy down if he managed to reach him.
