Someone else might have been upset with the way that she was talking to him - no, definitely not Stark. He'd expect nothing less from Pepper than her particular brand of snark and sass, especially when it came to the unique way that she handled him. His ears cupped towards her a bit, curious over just what she was thinking when it came to sticking around. It sounded like she was thinking maybe Happy had been around the area and that was enough to make him hopeful. 

Stark gave a little laugh, shaking his head as she asked about his little hovel. "I've got a little pack tucked away." Stark hummed out. "Are you wanting somewhere to hunker down?" To this his blue eyes narrowed curiously, wondering just what Pepper was hoping for.
