Liri had hinted that the packs numbers had dwindled, but that might not have been the only factor. He hoped that nothing really bad had occurred though. Shadowfur liked the dark forest, it reminded him of a better time in his life. A time when his spirit was whole. 

As the male trotted on, he caught scent of another loner. She had no affiliation with Rosings, of that he was sure. Eventually, he caught sight of her through the trees. He didn't say anything, choosing simply to observe. Loners were not always the most friendly characters.
