It seemed Heldi's thoughts were less on the task Dash had helped with, and more on the fact that one of their own had attacked one of their leaders, and possibly without a motive. Silently, Dash was happy that was her worry. If she had questioned what he did, he would have been saddened.

He shrugged. When I was a lone wolf, I fought a lot, but it was mostly over food. I don't know why some attack others unprovoked. He didn't miss the fighting lifestyle, though he tried to practice his skills every now and then, just to keep them fresh.
