He reached her, touching her cold nose at last with his own at the edge of the light, and his body shivers in response. The memory of their shared beginning is the one thing clear in his mind. She sounds once more, her tone resembling a sharper version of the one who gave him life, and speaks of things no one can understand, not even Keelut. But he responds anyway, makes his own sounds to let her know that he is aware of her, that he can feel her in front of him, and in the wake world he whines and purrs to the empty space that opens to the outside of the den. He is not aware of his sister following after him, he is not aware of anything but his dream, and she who calls in front of him.
