Hadn't it been for the absence of his silencer, Damien would have forgotten that the Dark Sister had recently given birth to her brood. She and Kove had been silent, busy perhaps, and Damien was doing what he could to fill the void that they had left to care for their young. So he waited, and in time his co-leader called him over to see the future for the first time. He walked down to the glen with calm and silent steps, looking over what seemed to be a playground, full of life in a way he'd never seen. "Nem," he greeted, more warmly than he'd ever spoken to her. But his eyes did not linger on her for too long, for they were curious about the smaller forms squirming around their mother.
