Goliath had been celebrating mentally, and hadn't noticed the extent of his rudeness until he looked back at the pup for a retort. His brashness had gone a little too far, and his small, barely-used brain finally understood that. 

"Stop that" he attempted to tell her, Goliath took it more as a game then an actual fight. Besides, if this little one would go to the pack and say that he threatened her, he would be in serious trouble. Racking his brain for some sort of a solution, the only thing that Goliath could offer as retribution was to help her with the hunt.
