She had no concept of what a botanist was and while the urge to interject was tempting, she managed to stay her tongue until Portia had finished speaking. She didn't believe the bit about no good stories either; everyone had a story to tell, good or bad.

"What's a botanist?" she asked, though she had an idea by then what they were. Someone who got their paws on plants, obviously. She sought to amend her question: "I mean, do they just find plants or what?"
