Arch found shelter against the base of a tree, and Starbuck came to join him. She curled up against him, thinking it only natural that they sleep together. After all, the nights were growing colder, and out in the elements they would be exposed to the creeping chill. She had just shut her eyes when he spoke, declaring that he would travel the rest of the way alone. But... she protested. Was her company not enough, or too much? Perhaps her pace had not been right.
