He had not been expecting anyone to approach him in his blank features and unapproachable scowl. The boy had not wanted to be found, for all the times he had, it had turned to ashes and smoke, hence the fact he walked around looking like all his hopes and dreams had been crushed.. which was partially true. Yet, someone dared to confront him, and in a similar manner Peregrine had done. The thought burned a hole in his chest and he bit his lip. He could not break, not again. Minutes seemed to pass by until he remembered the voice calling out to him, questioning him of his motives. He glanced in the supposed direction of the other, and flickered back. A male, one that reeked of power. The boy had been around too many Alpha's to mistake the presence of one. "Huh?" Jackrabbit blinked into focus, trying to recall what the subject matter had been. Once it clicked, his offered only a blatant reply. "I dunno," In truth, the boy had little idea what he was going, nor where he was going. He had simply walked on, figuring his time in Redhawk Caldera was over with the death of Peregrine. He had not really belonged, even the boy could see despite the assurances he would fit right in. Jackrabbit thought of Fox, who he knew would maybe miss him, though the Fireshits would be rejoicing at his absence. Good for them, he supposed; uncharacteristically for he could not bring himself to care. He did not care that the evil foster siblings had won and he did not care that he had abandoned them. The former boy king had bowed away, and refused to return.
"Away," He simply stated, and continued to walk. Jackrabbit would not be getting attached ever again, for everywhere he roamed he brought turmoil. The death of his father did not pain him nor would it ever, for he would never know of FitzDutiful other than his real father's friend. The death of his Mother served as a cruel reminder never to trust and never return to Silvertip Mountian again. The death of his brother was a pitied memory, one that begun to waver from his conscious to the brink of forget. But, the death of Peregrine was one he would not slip away, one that was impossible to forget and one that he would forever be altered by. Jackrabbit should have seen it coming, his emotional demise was inevitable.
