At one day old, Shiori felt like she was pretty used to this place now. It was louder here, her sisters' cries muffled but ever present. It was these same sisters she bowled over as she crawled, helpless, towards the greatest source of heat. Sometimes it was her sisters, but most of the time it was some other, larger body to which she was always drawn to. The great giver of milk, of life, was (thus far) her favorite entity. Her sisters were loud, crowding the den and the space at her mothers belly. Ah, but her mother! She was warm, and she was a source of food, and she was Shiori's favorite.
