The Tangle he was hiding in the chill of a mountain

Indra's kind heart was a beautiful thing in Hiram's eyes. She was truly one chosen by the Lord, set to fill this cold, tainted world with goodness and light. In a way, Hiram envied her soul's purity, especially after sowing so much discord throughout his own life. He wished to go back -- to be good, yet he knew he could only start now, and he would start by saving the life of a perfect stranger.

At his daugter's inquirey on the stranger's identity, Hiram simply shrugged. He did not recognize the voice of the howl. The location however, was much easier to pinpoint, and it came from the other side of the tangle. "He may very well be stuck," answered Hiram. "We may not find him, but we need to look."

"Stay close to me," he said, hoping to keep his daughter safe as he moved into the cover of the tangle.
