The moment Larkspur shied away, Starbuck did so as well. She did not want to push the girl, nor did she want to make her uncomfortable. Trauma such as Larkspur's could lead to such an aversion to touch, this Starbuck understood. The roars, the screams, the growls all sank as dread heavy as lead into Starbuck's stomach. She could not help, she told herself. Delivering Larkspur to her family was her task now, and Larkspur would go with or without her. Deirdre should not have left the Sentinels, not as sickly as she was, but there was nothing Starbuck could do now. Nothing but follow as Larkspur took off, and hope for the best.[/ooc]
