Her sister's sloppy cries registered dimly as a piercing, discomfiting sound and a pulse of sharp color that she did not understand. Soon her attempts to push into Airi's face offered some fruit. Her sister was a messy eater, and Shiori found milk around her sister's mouth. She began to lick that up, and though it was not the same satisfaction, her earlier displeasure faded.
