"She won't be spoiled. She's not a princess, she's a little girl," Jhala said simply, not understanding the confusion-- or how Laurel had turned out so rotten. Granted, Jhala grew up learning to fight. She didn't play or relax like most pups, she grew up learning how to be a seasoned warrior. By the time she was barely a year she had been in a number of battles, and knew nothing but the ways of a mercenary. Maybe that was her problem, but Jhala knew only that her children would be educated and loved-- there would be a healthy mix of both. That's how it's supposed to be.

"I, uh, I just don't remember a day I wasn't stressed out," she replied, shifting uncomfortably. She hesitated, staring down again. "I just kind of remember being uncomfortable and unhappy-- and... then Reek helped me, somehow, and then I was better. And then Raas granted me with his children-- and, I don't know what to do with them," she muttered, shaking her head. 

"No, I'm fine, I don't need them, I'm sorry I asked-- I can wait."
