He admitted she was not a child, and it gave her some comfort to know that he believed that. He even insinuated that he might be the child of the two. How did I not know you have a family? she asked quickly. She felt as if she was looking at someone she didn’t know. They had been so close- there wasn’t anything she didn’t tell him.
