Jolon didn't know what would've happened if he had refused to go on his mission. He assumed Asterr would be more mad at him than she was before, and he was definetly trying to avoid that. Besides, Ryuijin was his home. The least thing he could do was get revenge on someone who had traumatized one if their members- his very girlfriend. At least, Jolon thought of her as "girlfriend". As soon as he was back, victorious or not, he'd ask Asterr if they could become mates. And if she didn't want them to be, well, the most logical option for him was to find a place where they could indeed be mates. 

He cherished the moment while it lasted, but knew that he soon had to go. He needed all the rest he could have before his big adventure. For now though, he kept silent, keeping Avannon tightly against him as they snuggled.
