She scrambled backward, hair on end as she realized her mistake. The swamp, the damn swamp, and the rain that had been pouring steadily all day had led to her slip, her crossing of the border. The scents were weak, fault of the wind and rain and pungent swamp, and she was lucky to have realized her mistake quickly. At least, so she thought. But the wind changed direction a moment, and the borders she suddenly realized were directly beneath her. She hissed and stepped back, thinking quickly of were to go next and the best way to get out of this dark swamp.
