Well, he was certainly different than the last boy she'd encountered, but she didn't mind. Chip sauntered up to him easily enough when he replied, her tail hanging easily between her hind legs. "Aw, are you nervous?" she asked, a grin tugging at the corners of her mouth. "I don't bite." Chip paused and then giggled, knowing that wasn't true. "I'll only bite if you want me to. How 'bout that?" she asked, wondering if he'd let her get close enough to lick his cheek. She didn't act on that impulse, though, and pulled away instead.

"Unless you'd rather I leave you be, of course," she said, a pout now present on her lips. She certainly didn't want to leave him all alone, but if that's what he really desired... well, who was she to interfere with that?
