It had been all too apparent that his sudden appearance was nothing but an inconvenience to Wildfire, so he had departed without attempting to talk with her. Charon's vindictive statement took Floki by surprise, but even more shocking was that he found himself nodding in agreement. He had never anticipated that he could have such feelings of animosity towards his ex-mate, but Charon was just helping to stoke the fire.
