Tail tucked, ears perked, Honey kept a slow strut through the land. She was verging on pack territory, though she tried her best to keep distance from the border. The farther away she was from others, the better, and she didn't want to risk being caught in such a fragile state. Honey's hour of estrus had begun, and despite her size, she had little to no defense against any unsolicited interactions.
That being said, only time would tell if she'd actually want to defend herself.
Honey took care to skip over dead foliage, for the silence and the dark had become her only allies. If she could only find shelter, somewhere to hide until this was over, it would be okay, but shelter was hard to come across and suitors were everywhere.
