Brown ears swivelled round a top his head as the listened to the sound of the swaying foliage, amber eyes slowly scanning the leaf cover floor. As he searched the landscape, Streiter would peer over to his mate briefly, with a smile; keeping close to her side. Black leathery nose twitched slightly, nostrils flaring as the wind brought an intriguing scent to his attention. Taking his eyes away from Eden momentarily, Streiter's amber gaze stared into the brush curiously as he caught some form of movement.

A snarl. A whimper. Instantly the brute's body became tense with anger, head snapping around as the mercenary tore his gaze away from the direction he'd currently been surveying, only to find a flame colored beast snapping at the ankles of his pregnant mate. Fury erupted within the male as he heard Eden's whines and whimpers, watching as she tried to snap and bite back at the attacking pest as she attempted to retreat. Streiter feeling as Eden tucked herself into him for protection. A low growl grew within his throat until it erupted into a snarl, pearly fangs bared toward the fox as it darted underneath him, the male now attempting to keep Eden at a safe distance from the fiery creature.

As the creature bounced underneath him, the young male felt his rage spilling out from within him. An emotion that had been alien to the male, though having just witnessed someone close to him be attacked, right before his eyes and for no reason, wasn't going to be tolerated. And with that, Streiter spun his head round as quick as he could, after the swift little beast, his mouth wide open as he hoped to make some form of contact with the rascally critter. Hopefully, by its long, bushy tail or leg.
