Anxiously she awaited an answer, not sure what to suspect from a man like Kjalarr. He was young - probably had plans for a greater future, even if he would never find one as great as her. Then again, could she trust him with both her life and that of their possible children? He had not particularly been helpful when Maude had mercilessly attacked her, even though Maude got punished in some way or form. If that had actually happened she had yet to hear, and until she heard anything about it she would assume Kjalarr had only said it to comfort her. A lie for a greater good, Ondine thought, but it was a lie nonetheless. She took a deep breath as he started speaking, his words comforting her just slightly. Even if Kjalarr would leave her, she always knew a way out. Kill the children, it was as simple as that. A single mother couldn't care for a litter - hell, she was surprised how even both the parents could care for four squirming little furballs. 

Can I trust you with my presence for the coming days? If children will come of this, I want to make sure that they're just yours and mine... She spoke, avoiding the words "ours". They were not in a relationship - even though it was strange to think of them as mere Alpha and Gamma. Perhaps when and if the children would be born, she'd consider asking for a mateship between them - to make it clear for others. She did not wish to become his alpha female, for that place was still Caiaphas', but mates sounded good.
