The night was dark and full of terrors, which was just how the big wolf liked it. Coal black paws carried the scarred male across the lush landscape of Shadow Mountain nearly soundlessly. The alabaster full moon glowed brightly in the cloudless sky, making the otherwise low visibility typical of the mountain a bit more forgiving for the moment. Crow had only been a resident of the mysterious mountain for a week or so now, but he'd already grown to love it. Its typical shroud of darkness thanks to its larger neighbors worked perfectly well for his shady visage, and the ironically well-grown habitat supplied plenty of easy game for both Crow and his younger brother. The two males had come to settle into their current home quite quickly.

Tonight found the two brothers apart, with Crow deciding he wanted to explore a bit more of their chosen home. He was curious about the packs residing nearby, and he wanted to see what he could find out the closer to one of their borders he wandered. The K'vari son didn't necessarily want to start any trouble, but his lips pulled into an amused smirk at the thought that it always seemed to find him regardless. He'd come to figure that in that case, why even bother to avoid it? Trouble would catch him eventually. Hell, even when he wasn't causing trouble, he was usually bailing his bad-luck brother out of it instead. Ah well, what was life without a little adventure and mischief?
