Wolves were flocking to Duskvale. Saena couldn't be more pleased. With each additional body, they ensured their pack's survival through the winter. There was little to no doubt in her mind that they would prosper come the warm months, and even if every warm body left, there would still be her and Warbone to carry Duskvale forward. But with the attention the pack was getting and the addition of more and more wolves who heard the wild call of instinct and stepped into the vale, there were simply no worries left.
Saena's injuries were healing nicely now that the worst was over. She was pleased that several of the smaller wounds were already disappearing back into her thick winter fur, and she felt some of her old spryness as she padded among the lazing wolves of the vale. They'd recently taken down a small mule deer and were in post-meal lounge. Saena ought to have been laying around with the rest of them, but she was feeling energetic now that her limp was nearly gone, and sought out the leading male instead.
They had their differences and a mild distance had grown between them thanks to Saena's inability to accept his very justified reprimands, but she had forgiven him and was feeling decidedly less on edge now. No doubt it was her good spirits. She rounded a thick tree, spotted @Warbone, and approached confidently in spite of the submissive droop of her ears and snout. She was careful to keep on his good side; good spirits or not, she wasn't in the mood for an unfriendly response. Her pace hardly slowed as she reached out in a playful effort to bop him on the back of the neck with her chin.
