Lagan liked to munch on bugs as much as she liked to find them and look at them, so if it ended up mushed up in his mouth, he was perfectly fine with that.

He chuckled at Raven's warning, then told her, "they're under rocks and bark and stuff." Some of the bugs went underground and others migrated away, none of which Lagan knew, but he could find beetles hiding even on the colder days. Soon enough they would disappear for good, but he also didn't know that. "I know where to find 'em, 'cause I like looking for them," he explained, waving his soft tail, "they're tasty."

He was so busy thinking about bugs that he forgot what they were really doing, and paused in his step as if to silently ask for directions.
