The male that she saw in the distance looked weak, and she did not understand why he made himself look so prideful.  How could someone so weak looking try to make himself look so prideful?  While it was probably just a survival instinct perhaps, she didn't care.  He looked unworthy to her, some kind of a burden.

She wasn't in the mood to be bothered by someone who looks so beat and so kept one wary eye on the male to see if he would follow her as she quickened her pace, her paws crunching against the against the shining white sheet of snow.
