The Sentinels estranged

Part of her was relieved that Skellige had arrived, but for the most part, Doe worried about his presence. He wasn't known for his ability to deal with delicate situations and the birthing of pups was about as delicate as things could get. But it seemed his worries were the same as Doe's, and she gave a tight nod in response.

Doe's ears flickered as Mannoah spoke, and she didn't know the language well enough to recognize the word, but she understood the tone well enough.

"I need you to push, Mannoah," she said, her voice gentle but unyeilding. She can't even understand me, the woman thinks, but that thought is pushed swiftly away. Mannoah should know well enough what needed to be done.
