The loss she’d experienced the very moment her brother had been found was a feeling that the boy couldn’t recognize and, hopefully, never would. He could neither relate to nor feel for her since he wasn’t quite sure how to do so. All he could do was be there for her, and so that was what he’d opted to do. For as long as she’d needed him to remain there with her, Hvitserk would have stayed, offering to her as much comfort as she might have needed. He’d then assist in the burial of her brother and, after a shared farewell, return to the pack whilst his friend was left to deal with her grief.
