He knew her kind well; a she-wolf that thought she could lure him into trouble, or otherwise break his guard with her coquetry. The corsair would have none of it. Even as he kept his heated glare on her, his ears swivelled to listen to his surroundings, his nose constantly monitored the wind for an ambush.
