Wildfire's enthusiasm contrasted the commander's seemingly appreciative coolness about it, which gradually left Dio settling into the situation more and more. He grappled with that underlying nervousness carefully, and let the discussion on the details provide an eager distraction. Well, to a point.

He'd take a little time getting entirely used to this. It was.. a lot, and so suddenly now that Heda was to be more involved than he'd even thought about originally. Offspring of the hedonakru, he reminded himself silently, and so it would seem right from the very start, it would be the three of them. That all kept him quiet for a thoughtful moment, but when he did finally find his voice again, he agreed. Of course, his mind was churning with questions, some less formed than others, but over and over again he reminded himself that there was still time to make sure everything was neatly in place before anything came to fruition.

And so, for all the initial reservations and details to handle in the meantime, he would part ways from here looking forward to this unexpected twist.
