Swiftcurrent Creek Coast is clear

Fox watched the scene play out, and was reminded of her own childhood. She had been scolded plenty of times, but she'd also refused to give up like Ty was apparently doing. Instead, Fox had defied her parents' every word, often purposefully disobeying them just for the attention. Tytonidae's response was far more docile, and she submitted appropriately, causing Fox to nod in approval of Perry's child. “Hello to you, too,” she replied, though the child did not attempt to converse further.

Perry commanded his daughter to say, and Fox glanced to the sprog next to him before nodding. When they were far enough away that the pup (hopefully) couldn't hear them, Fox canted her head to one side and asked, “What’s up?” She wondered what Perry wouldn't allow his own child to hear.
